The last few weeks, I’ve been debating on whether to embark on this challenge again…
I’ve received emails- warning that starting dates are closer than they appear…
I have been cornered in the hallway- “Samantha, you’re going to be doing the SOL challenge again this year..Right? Right?”…
Peers have approached me, text messages have been exchanged- each questioning one another…”Are you doing it this year?” “I don’t know…are you going to do it again this year?”
My students have mentioned it- “Ms. Geijer, are we all going to write again this year like last?” (Personally, I think someone may have bribed my students into asking me!)…
I’m a reader- can dive into a book and allow myself to be consumed by the characters, their relationships, their struggles and successes- lose myself in their world… But writing? Ehh… And writing each day? A new topic? A new perspective? Definitely a daunting thought…
But here I am again…ready for round four…
Let the slicing begin!!!
Let it Begin! Can’t wait to read your student’s writing as well!
It’s so hard not to do this once you’ve done it, isn’t it? I am feeling your words exactly! The journey is just to grand not to take it again. So glad you are here, Samantha!
Wow, round four! I am in round one and wondering what I have done. It is nice to hear that others have apprehensions, but are willing to take the risk, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. Thanks!
I’m new this year so I’m impressed by your four years. WONDERFUL! There must be a powerful draw since you keep coming back.
Welcome! It is a wonderful community of writers…warm and inviting! Happy slicing!
Yay! It does begin….it will be an inspiring month and I can’t wait to read all about it…one slice at a time!
You’re back! You can do this – such fun it will be 🙂
You’ve got this!!! You have plenty of inspiration around you, and I bet you’ll have no trouble finding things to share with us in your wonderful wordy way! We will push each other! Not too mention, your students will keep you on task. 🙂
It’s so cool that people are practically begging you to do it again. They must love your writing. 🙂
Glad you’re on board Samantha! I can’t believe someone actually cornered you in the hallway! Just shameful!
Hahaha I wonder who that was!?!? 😉
“Peer Pressure” 2 words that a few years ago I would never of related to writing. My how times have changed.
